Guilford Free Library’s Summer Outdoor Concert Series kicks off this year with a performance by the Shoreline Jazz Quartet (SJQ) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23 on the patio. The evening will celebrate the music of Bill Evans, who was a premiere arranger and composer and pianist for Miles Davis.

The SJQ features Mike Bimonte on drums, (Deepak) Cyril D’Souza on saxophones, Steve Roane on acoustic bass, and Steve Wood on electric guitar. The SJQ plays jazz standards and more at venues along the shoreline and New Haven.

Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs and a picnic. The library also provides seating on the patio. This event sponsored by the Friends of the Library is free and open to all.
