Scranton Library Now Accessible by Appointment

The E.C. Scranton Library announces that appointments for library use will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

“We are so excited to welcome the community back in to see the new and improved Scranton Library. We are committed to providing a welcoming and safe atmosphere for all of our library users and staff members,” said Library Director Sunnie Scarpa.

Appointments will be available Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 2 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday at 5 p.m. Guests will have two hours to use library computers, print/copy, browse the collection, and check out materials. Saturday appointments will be for computer use only at 10 a.m.

The library’s popular Take Out & Delivery pickup service and virtual programming are continuing at this time.

In order to properly quarantine all materials, all items must be returned to the external return slot accessed from the parking lot; returns will not be accepted inside the building.

To make an appointment, call the library at 203-245-7365. Appointments will be taken up to five days in advance. Full details are available on the library’s website at: scrantonlibrary.org.
