Estuary Hosts 5th Annual Shoreline Chefs at Water’s Edge
The Estuary Council of Seniors is holding its annual fundraiser to benefit Meals on Wheels on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook.
The public is invited to an evening of food and fundraising at the fifth annual Shoreline Chefs and help raise money for local seniors in need. Shoreline Chefs features almost 20 local restaurants, caterers, and chefs providing small plate tastings of their fabulous recipes. Tickets are $40 in advance ($45 at the door) and are available at the Senior Center at 220 Main Street in Old Saybrook. The event also features a beer tasting and wine tasting, entertainment by Rooftop Jazz, Rock and Soul, and a gift basket raffle.
The Estuary Council of Seniors is the sole provider of Meals on Wheels for the nine town region of Clinton, Chester, Deep River, Essex, Killingworth, Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook. The center also provides nutrition programs at four congregate meal sites to provide almost 80,000 meals in total each year.
