Good Humor Truck in Search of New Owner
The iconic Madison Good Humor Ice Cream truck is once again in search of a new owner. Coach Jim recently announced on social media that he is looking to sell the truck.
In a post on Facebook on March 15, Jim Rinere, better known as Coach Jim, announced his intentions to sell the ice cream truck.
“After much thought and soul searching, I have decided to sell the Good Humor truck,” the post read. “This was a very difficult decision, but it is the right path forward. If you are interested or have somebody that you think would be interested in buying the truck, please DM me and I will get back with you. It is a great and very fun business and I appreciate all of the support that I received in taking over the legacy of Papa Joe, and I am humbled and thank you everyone for that support.”
Coach Jim took over the truck from Joseph Barbato, known to most as Papa Joe, in fall 2017. Papa Joe had previously operated the truck for close to 30 years.
