Ines Granville and Paul Thomson, who met playing pickleball in Old Saybrook (as documented in the Nov. 8 story “Pickleball Court Ribbon Cutting Reveals Love for More than the Game”), had a question for First Selectman Carl Fortuna, Jr. (also a justice of the peace) at the Nov. 1 ribbon cutting for the town’s new Main Street Park pickleball courts: Would he officiate their wedding?
On Nov. 16, it was Fortuna’s turn to ask the questions; Granville and Thomas had the same answer: “I do.”
