Daytime Gardeners Make Clean Sweep in North Haven
Daytime Gardeners of North Haven members convened with shovels, rakes, and trowels to take care of fall clean-up of gardens at several locations. One area was the reading garden at the North Haven Memorial Library and another was on both sides of the intersection of Route 22 and Washington Avenue. Crocus bulbs were planted at the base of the oak tree on the Cultural Center lawn, which was donated by the Federated Garden Clubs of CT, Inc. and maintained by the Daytime Gardeners of North Haven. Crocus were also planted at the gardens bordering Route 22 and Washington Avenue, joining daffodils and hyacinths, which are already in place, waiting for blooming next spring.
