After cancelling an August 8 meeting due to lack of quorum, the North Branford Town Council will convene for a Special Town Council Meeting on Tuesday, August 15, 7 p.m. at Town Hall. A new business item originally set for August 8 will be on the August 15 agenda, when the council will review more than a dozen Freedom of Information (FOI) requests made by a town resident who feels some actions by some town officials are negatively affecting taxpayers.
The citizen, Victor Pietrandrea, initially brought his concerns to the council during the Citizens' Statements portion of the July 11, 2017 Town Council meeting, when 10 documents had been received via FOI. See related story for more information here More documents have been requested and received in the interim. Town Manager Michael Paulhus has gathered copies of the documents for the council to review. The item will be heard as part of the full Water Pollution Control Authority/Town Council special meeting on August 15.
Notification of the special meeting and the night's agenda was distributed today by Paulhus' office. The 7 p.m. meeting will be held in Town Council Chambers at Town Hall, 909 Foxon Road.
