The seventh annual Hike For Hope was a great success. It was held at Falls River Preserve in Ivoryton on May 20. Alex Adamson, a junior at Valley Regional High School, and friends spent the past few weeks organizing the hike to raise awareness about cholangiocarcinoma, otherwise known as bile duct cancer. Hikers walked in memory of Bill Whaley of Deep River, David Hyde of Essex, and in honor of Adamson’s father, Philip Schaller. The boys raised close to $2,000 to be donated to the cholangiocarcinoma foundation.
