The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Saturday, Feb. 16

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated at Planet Fitness, 705 Boston Post Road, at 8:25 a.m. Phone calls of a sexual nature were received.

• An animal complaint was investigated at 1350 Durham Road at 1:38 p.m. A town employee reported that a white male and an unleashed dog were on the soccer field. The man was advised to put his dog on a leash, but he would not comply.

Sunday, Feb. 17

No arrests were made.

• Harassment was investigated on the 300 block of Colonial Road at 10:08 a.m.

• A complaint about fraud via identity theft was investigated at 5 White Pine Lane at 11:48 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 467 Nut Plains Road at 12:58 p.m. A yield sign was spray painted. The Department of Public Works was advised.

Monday, Feb. 18

• A 46 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:15 p.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct.

• Thefts from motor vehicles left unlocked during the overnight hours were investigated at 322 and 359 Schoolside Lane at 10:09 a.m.

• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated at 2881 Boston Post Road at 11:37 a.m. The tenant reported being harassed by the landlord.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about attempted power company fraud was investigated at 862 Boston Post Road at 3:46 p.m.

• A theft of items from an unlocked vehicle was investigated at 31 Three Mile Course. It was believed the theft occurred on Feb. 16.

• A complaint about an employee who did not return keys after being terminated was investigated at 741 Boston Post Road at 5:57 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about fraud via telephone was investigated at 53 Driftwood Lane at 4:48 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 21

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated at 4:15 p.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.

Friday, Feb. 22 to Saturday, Feb. 23

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Feb. 24

• A 54 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 1:35 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and possession with intent to sell narcotics.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 930 Long Hill Road at 10 a.m. A speed limit sign was ripped off its pole.

• A larceny was investigated at 830 Boston Post Road at 1:35. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

Monday, Feb. 25

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about a juvenile was investigated on Bullard Drive at 9:07 a.m.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 1615 Great Hill Road at 12:02 p.m. The complainant had a video of two white males attempting to enter his/her car during the overnight hours.

• A complaint about credit card fraud was investigated at 43 Apple Tree Lane at 2:25 p.m.

• A complaint about fraud via telephone was investigated at 24 Sunset Ridge Drive at 5:07 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

• A 31 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and violation of probation.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 89 Green Hill Road at 10:23 a.m. An unlocked vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and a bag of change was taken.

• A report of a missing adult was investigated on High Ridge Road at 6:12 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 9:58. The street name upon which the incident occurred was redacted by police.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

No arrests were made.

• A larceny from a motor vehicle was investigated at 8:34 a.m. Location and all details of the theft were redacted by police.

• Theft from motor vehicle that were entered during the overnight hours at 7 Franklins Way and 580 Goose Lane at 9:07 a.m. and 9:16 a.m. respectively.

• A larceny was investigated at 160 Uncas Point Road at 11:11 a.m.

• A theft from an unlocked motor vehicle was investigated at 156 East Gate Road at 8:05 a.m.

Thursday, Feb. 28

• A 33 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:38 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and simple trespass. The location of the larceny was redacted by police.

• A sexual assault complaint was investigated at 2:02 p.m.

Friday, March 1

No arrests were made.

• A complaint about fraud related to a kitchen remodel was investigated at 41 Kenneth Circle at 7:48 a.m.

• A breach of peace incident was investigated 11 Park Street at 9:20 a.m.

Saturday, March 2

No arrests were made.

• A larceny was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 1:26 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

Sunday, March 3

No arrests were made.

• A domestic dispute was investigated at 9:42 a.m. The location and all details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A minor complaint about a juvenile (or juveniles) was investigated at 1:32 p.m. The location of the incident was redacted by police.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 875 Little Meadow Road at 1:40 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 455 White Birch Drive at 1:42 p.m. A mailbox was stolen during the overnight hours.

• A report of suspicious activity was investigated on Leetes Island Road near the railroad tracks at 2:15 p.m. Two males were seen near a large rock and at the train tracks. One of the men had a shovel. Items were laid out on the rock. Police checked the area. No one was located and nothing was left on the tracks.

Monday, March 4

No arrests were made.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Bruce Lane near Kenneth Circle at 1:01 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A complaint about identity fraud was investigated at 17 River Street at 2:03 p.m. Unauthorized Internet charges were made to the complainant’s credit card.

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1243 Little Meadow Road at 2:26 p.m. A mailbox was damaged during the overnight hours.

• Criminal trespass was investigated on the 300 block of Old Whitfield Street at 3:22 p.m. Five to six youths were inside the abandoned train engine house and octagonal water tower. Police checked the area and could not locate the youths.

Tuesday, March 5

• A 47 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 1:48 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree.

Wednesday, March 6

• A 59 year-old man of Nut Plains Road was arrested at 5:35 p.m. and charged with operating a commercial vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (second time arrested for this offense), failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

• A 39 year-old Shelton man was arrested at 10:50 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Neighbor trouble was reported at the senior housing complex on Guilford Court at 2:35 p.m.

• Threatening was reported on Marilyns Lane at 4:06 p.m.
