06/21/2022 12:00 AMBranford celebrates Independence Day with its annual fireworks display on Saturday, June 25, when the professional pyrotechnics show will launch at 9:30 p.m. sharp from the town dock at Branford Point.
To assist the all-volunteer Branford Fireworks Committee with funding, donations of $10, $25, $30, $50, or $100 can be made online at branfordct.myrec.com/info/products/default.aspx.
The free event draws thousands to sites including Branford’s Parker Memorial Park at Branford Point to view the display. Beginning at 11 a.m., food trucks will be on site for purchases at Parker Park. DJ Dennis Nardella will be providing music all day at the site. The public can also gather at Foote Memorial Park on Melrose Avenue for excellent views of the display; an ice cream truck will be on site at Foote Park prior to the fireworks.
Parking for shuttle access, with four shuttles running continuosly, will be available at Branford Community House, 46 Church St. and Sliney Elementary School, 23 Eades St. Shuttles will begin running from the community house at 5:30 p.m. Parking will also be available on streets in the area of the community center and school including Church Street, Prospect Street, Meadow Street and Hopson Avenue.
