02/14/2022 11:00 PMThe Deep River Planning & Zoning Commission will be hosting a public information session at its Thursday, Feb. 17 regular meeting beginning at 7 p.m. to begin the process of having Deep River develop a municipal Affordable Housing Plan as mandated in Section 8-30j of the Connecticut General Statutes.
This local plan is being undertaken as part of a wider Regional Housing Plan being led by RiverCOG, and is targeted for completion in May or June, 2022. The public information session on Feb. 17 will review existing housing conditions and population demographics in Deep River, and will discuss how the town’s current zoning and other regulations affect the development of housing in Deep River.
