12/01/2021 11:01 PMShoreline Arts Alliance is the proud recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Connecticut Humanities Council, recognizing its commitment to transforming lives through the arts. Throughout the pandemic, Shoreline Arts Alliance has worked to continue its programming virtually and to offer resources to arts, cultural and historic organizations and venues.
Partnering with Yale School of Public Health, Shoreline Arts Alliance Director Eric Dillner, developed “Reopening CT Arts Venues: Science-Based Safety”. This program began in May 2020 and continues to offer science-based guidance about safe reopening protocols through webinars and personalized site visits and consultations. Additionally, Shoreline Arts Alliance secured a donor who has provided these organizations and venues with a supply of disposable masks and gloves to distribute to their visitors as needed.
The grant from Connecticut Humanities Council is a validation of the resources and programs Shoreline Arts Alliance has provided during the pandemic and will allow Shoreline Arts Alliance to continue to support and enrich the arts and cultural communities in a variety of new and innovative ways moving forward.
