Tree Lighting Returns to North Haven Green on Dec. 5

The Town of North Haven’s Department of Recreation will host its annual tree lighting on Sunday, Dec. 5 on the North Haven Town Green rain or shine. The annual lighting of the town menorah was held on Nov. 28.

The Dec. 5 afternoon festivities will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. with activities leading up to the lighting of the tree. There will be holiday caroling by North Haven High School’s concert choir. Father Donaher of Knights of Columbus will provide coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies and VOX will serve hot apple cider. The Corinthian Lodge #63 will be on site with CT Child Identification Program (CHIP) packages. According to ctchip.org, the packages “contain vital components to aid law enforcement agencies in recovery and identification of missing children and can be quickly distributed via the news media to reach a huge audience or for an Amber Alert.”
