Essex Savings Bank Announces Promotions

The Board of Directors of Essex Savings Bank is pleased to announce that Lynn K. Giroux, formerly senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Essex Savings Bank, has assumed a new role as senior vice president and chief operations officer, and Nathan Bordeleau, formerly assistant vice president and credit officer of Essex Savings Bank, has been promoted to vice president and credit officer.

Giroux has almost 40 years of banking experience having spent the last 22 at Essex Savings Bank, whereby she oversees Human Resources, Compliance, Branch Administration, Deposit Operations, Loan Administration, and Facilities. In addition to her work responsibilities, Giroux has chaired the Center for Financial Training and CBA Bankers Forums, serves as ambassador and member for the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, is on the board of Camp Hazen YMCA and chairs its Finance Committee, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Professionals, the American Bankers Association, and the Connecticut Bankers Association. She has participated as a panelist for the Vermont Bankers Association’s Women in Leadership Conference, the Connecticut Bankers Association as well as other compliance-related organizations. Giroux is an advocate for the community banking industry.

Giroux was the recipient of the 2014 Women of FIRE (Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate), a prestigious award given by The Commercial Record to women who have achieved excellence and make a difference in these traditionally male-dominated fields. Giroux is a graduate of the University of Vermont, as well as the New England School of Banking.

Bordeleau began his career with Essex Savings Bank in April 2013 as a credit analyst. He has continued to advance his position with Essex Savings Bank, and in 2019, he assumed the role of assistant vice president and credit officer.

Bordeleau earned his BSBA in finance and entrepreneurship from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He later went on to New Hampshire’s New England College where he received his MSA in accounting. Bordeleau is also a graduate of the 2016 New England Leadership Development Program and, in 2021, earned his Credit Risk Certification from the Risk Management Association.
