10/20/2021 12:00 AMA 52-year-old North Branford resident has been identified by police as the pedestrian who was struck and killed during a hit and run motor vehicle accident leaving the deceased at the roadside of 27 Branford Road /Rout 139 on Oct. 16.
In press release issued Oct. 20, North Branford Police Department (NBPD) identified the deceased as Douglas Clark, 52, of North Branford, also noting the department's "heart and deepest sympathy" goes out to Clark's "...family, friends and all who knew him."
The press release also noted that police "... continue to work around the clock investigating this tragedy and have received numerous leads on the incident and we are vigorously pursuing each lead."
NBPD continues to ask for the public's help in contacting investigators with any information concerning the early morning incident, with the deceased discovered on the roadside by police on Oct. 16 after responding to a 911 call (see related story).
