'Solar for All' in Branford Registration Period Ends Oct. 31


In June 2021, the Town of Branford announced participation in the Solar for All initiative. The Solar for All program provides an opportunity for residents to reduce their utility bills, produce their own energy and help make a cleaner environment. The Solar for All program is a nationally recognized program, financed through a public-private partnership between the Connecticut Green Bank and PosiGen, enabling them to offer homeowners affordable rooftop solar and energy efficient upgrades.

"I am pleased to support the Solar for All program in our community," said James B. Cosgrove, First Selectman for the Town of Branford. "This program makes clean renewable energy and energy efficiency more accessible and affordable to Branford homeowners."

Solar for All is a 20-year solar lease program that covers the full cost of installling, maintaining and insuring the solar sytem. There is no money down, no credit score requirement and no equipment to buy. There is no money out-of-pocket until after all energy efficiency improvements have been made and the solar system is installed and producing energy. With solar and efficiency upgrades, you are guaranteed to save money in the first year of your lease. your fixed monthly payment covers all costs of the solar system, the energy upgrades, monitoring, maintenance and any needed repairs during the lease.
