Eighteen members of the Branford High School (BHS) Marching Band performed in the town's Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 31. The band's march down Main Street also marked the public debut of its brand new uniforms, said Band Director Mallory Legman.

Done in Hornets red and black, the classic marching band garb arrived at BHS in January of 2020 but couldn't be worn until now, said Legman. The Branford Memorial Day Parade was the first public performance for the BHS marching band since the pandemic shut down events and gatherings.

Legman said the students were excited both for the May 31 performance and the chance to wear their new uniforms.
