Disabled Veteran Gets New Water Service from the RWA

Simon Hale served in Vietnam and broke both his feet while fighting for his country. Years later, he still has trouble walking, and his wife Barbara is in a wheelchair. Not long ago, they found out they had water quality issues with the well at their North Branford home. They had since been drinking only bottled water and bathing and washing with contaminated well water.

On May 2, South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA) crews completed a main-to-curb service for the Hales free of charge. Several RWA employees volunteered their time to make sure the Hales have access to reliable high-quality water from the RWA.
