04/12/2021 12:00 AMAnother school year has almost passed and it is hard to believe it is time to prepare and plan for summer camp. The summer of 2021 marks the 19th year of the North Branford Summer Camp program.
We are excited to announce this summer's theme "The Future." Several new camps have been added as we continue to offer popular camps all designed to entertain, enrich and inspire our summer campers. Expect to see some old favorites including Fizz, Bubble Goo and Adventure Climbing. We are pleased to offer some new camps this year including Youtuber Baking, Duct Tape Creations and Out of the World Crafts. You can expect to see this futuristic theme incorporated into many of the camps we will be offering this summer.
This year, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Ryan Dombrowski as the new co-director with Miss Amber Lake. Mr. Dombrowski is a science teacher at NBHS and Miss Lake is a grade 2 teacher at Jerome Harrison Elementary School. Both have been employed by the summer camp program for many years and are excited to lead this summer.
The North Branford Summer Camp program employs many certified teachers as enrichment instructors. The staff also includes many returning camp counselors who are always excited to be a part of your child's summer experiences and memories. The goal of the North Branford Summer Camp program and staff is to help campers develop life-long friendships and a passion for learning.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be adjustments to the camp schedule and activities, and health and safety protocols put in place in accordance with East Shore District Health Office and the Office of Early Childhood.
