Blackstone Library Offers Branford Job Seekers a New Online Search Tool


Job seekers in Branford now have access to a powerful job search and career exploration tool. If you are a college student or recent graduate, career-changer or looking to advance, or military-service member looking to transition to civilian life, LearningExpress® Job and Career Accelerator gives you the resources you need to explore careers, find open positions, apply for jobs, and get hired.

LearningExpress Job and Career Accelerator includes resume and letter builders with targeted samples and tips, millions of job and internship postings, interviewing advice, and a personal dashboard to track your work. In the Computer Skills Center, you can learn the basics of computers, the Internet, and popular software applications with easy-to-follow videos that include PC & Internet basics, Microsoft Office, Windows operating system, and more from beginner to advanced levels.

You can use the Job and Career Accelerator at home. Visit blackstonelibrary.org and look for the Job and Career Accelerator under the Research menu to create an account and get started.

On the library website, you will also be able to access the many other digital resources available, from ebooks to language learning, all for free with your Blackstone Library card. Need to get a library card? Apply for one at blackstonelibrary.org. Click Get a Library Card under the Library Information tab. You'll receive your free new card in the mail.

The LearningExpress Job and Career Accelerator is available to you through the Blackstone Library and the Connecticut State Library, as part of a grant the CT State Library received from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) LSTA CARES Act funds to aid CT libraries in a number of areas, including jobs and career resources related to economic development, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
