Chester Resident Does Solo Polar Plunge in Cedar Lake

Chester’s Leah Kisselbrack had organized more than 25 friends to take a freezing plunge into the cold waters of Cedar Lake on Nov. 15. That plan had to be modified due to the uptick in COVID-19 infections in the state; instead friends and spectators got a live-stream broadcast of Kisselbrack plunging by herself on a cool and windy Saturday afternoon.
Kisselbrack encouraged the plungers who had signed up to plunge and post their own video. This plunge is part of Nutmeg Rotary Club’s efforts to support local families and area food banks.
