By Late Afternoon, Westbrook Has 33% In-Person Turnout

As of around 4:30 p.m. on Election Day, 1,670 Westbrook residents had voted in person, according to Registrar of Voters Colin Bennett.

Westbrook has almost 5,000 registered voters, said Bennett, making the turnout so far approximately 33 percent of those registered. Not quite 20 voters registered on Election Day.

At midday, the Mulvey Municipal Center, the polling site for both districts, was very quiet, although it was “very busy this morning,” Bennett said, with “long lines, but it slowed down.”

Bennett said he expected things to get busier again after 5 p.m., as people got off work.
