'Blue Ribbon Campaign' Back in Branford

Last year, Branford celebrated its' 375th birthday with the usual events, parades and festivals that make this town such a great place to live!　 The town has vibrant cultural events, great restaurants, and varied recreational activites for all town residents to enjoy.

There is one group of people in Branford that serve to ensure that all the residents of Branford can enjoy everything this great town has to offer. That group is the Branford Police Department. Their job is not usually easy and they are not often thanked, but they are always there to improve the quality of life for all of us. After some conversations about all that is happening lately, we came to the realization that many residents would appreciate an opportunity to show support for the outstanding men and women of the Branford Police Department.

We decided that a good way to show our support was to bring back the Blue Ribbon Campaign [founded in 2016]. Residents who wish to show their support for the extraordinary members of our fine Branford Police Department are asked to display a blue ribbon on their mailbox, door, or a tree in their yard. Our hope is that as our Police Officers drive around town during the course of their work shifts, they will be reminded that they are truly appreciated.
