Branford Beaches Reopen: Water Quality Tests Safe for Swimming, Shellfishing

On the afternoon of Friday, July 10, East Shore District Health Department (ESDHD) confirmed safe water quality in Branford's shoreline waters, following testing. As a result, ESDHD and Town of Branford announced all Branford private and public beaches which had been closed due to a New Haven area-sewage spill on July 8 are safe again for swimming and shellfishing.
