Deep River Parks & Recreation recently held a first ever town wide Chalk it Up! Contest. Registration was free to all and the contest was open to all ages. The contest took place over the May 16 to 17 weekend. Participants were asked to be creative and have fun using colors, lines, patterns, and their imagination. Parks and Recreation offered free chalk to those who needed it.

Judges drove around town observing some great artwork and on occasion got to speak to the artist. The judges had a tough time when it came time to announce the winners.
