Protesters, most of them from out of town, gathered at the East Haven Police Department Sunday afternoon to protest racism and honor the lives of George Floyd and others lost due to police brutality. After about an hour and a half at the police department on Sunday afternoon, chanting “Black Lives Matters,” the protesters walked from the police headquarters on North High Street to the Town Hall with a police car escort behind them blocking traffic. Here, Los Fidel gets a honk of support from a passing car.
