Expired Branford Residency Stickers Good until June 30; New Stickers Now Available by Mail

Back in March, one of the Town of Branford's early COVID-19 administrative service responses was extending the expiration date for current residency stickers (green printing) from March 31, 2020 to June 30, 2020. Now, the Town announces residents who don't have a sticker can receive one by mail.

Additionally, the Town shares that expired stickers will be accepted for access to Branford Point parking and the Town Transfer Station through June 30, 2020; and those without an expired sticker can bring their license and registration to the park or transfer station to verify Branford residency. Also, with "trip passes" to the transfer station currently unavailable, Branford residents are asked to bring license and registration to show proof of residency; even if using a borrowed vehicle.

Residents visiting areas including Branford Point and the Town Transfer station are reminded to continue practicing social distancing and follow personal precautions in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The changes to policy were announced in a Town of Branford Community Message issued May 15. The changes have been put in place as Town Hall remains closed due to COVID-19; and Branford residency stickers are usually issued from the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall.

How to Receive a Branford Residency Sticker By Mail:

The Town notes all motor vehicle taxes must be paid up to date to receive a resident sticker by mail. To receive a sticker by mail, first mail a copy of your license, motor vehicle registration and check or money order for $5 payable to the Tax Collector, Town of Branford; P.O. Box 136, Branford, CT 06405.  The fee is waived for residents 65 or over. New residents should contact the Tax Collector's Office by calling (203) 315-0672 or email tax@branford-ct.gov for additional information concerning proof of residency.
