03/24/2020 12:00 AMClinton Town Hall will be closed for a deep cleaning after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. This is a separate case from the positive diagnosis of a male in his 60s that was reported last week.
“Town Hall is going through a deep cleaning which will follow [Centers for Disease Control & Prevention] requirements,” Town Manager Karl Kilduff said. “The building is being cleaned as a result of an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The building was closed to the public previously. Employees will not be able to return until the cleaning process is completed. Employees have the means to respond to emails and check voice mail during this time. The nature of employee return will be determined after the deep clean is completed.”
Last week the town released a list of preventative measures to protect themselves and the community. The list included:
• Staying home if you are sick except to get medical care
• Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when in public
• Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
• Washing your hands with soap and water frequently and for at least 20 seconds
• Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands after
• Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
• Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces
