North Haven Continues to Take Precautions in Response to Coronavirus

First Selectman Michael J. Freda would like to provide an update to North Haven residents on continued action the town is taking regarding the COVID-19. This past week, the following decisions were implemented including closing North Haven Public Schools, the Senior Center, library, and Community Services Daycare. In addition, all non-essential meetings and scheduled programs were suspended throughout town buildings.

As reports of the spread of coronavirus increase, effective Wednesday, March 18, Freda is imposing additional measures including closing all remaining town buildings.

Town employees will continue to be working to answer calls and assist the public. Any critical needs that may require in person resources will be handled individually on a pre-scheduled appointment basis. Please call the particular department in Town Hall or Annex building to schedule your appointment.

Residents and those having business with the town are encouraged to use all online resources including the online permitting system for building permits and online program for payment of taxes.

Sanitation and recycling will continue to operate on their normal schedule, and the Police and Fire departments will continue to be fully operational.

All town board and commission meetings will be canceled or postponed until further notice.
