03/11/2020 12:00 AMPolice have released the identity of the woman found early on March 8 on Frontage Road.
Amber Neal, 38, of Clinton, was found severely injured in the middle of Frontage Road in the area of Carmax, shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday, March 8. Upon arrival on scene, police discovered there were no other vehicles present.
"Investigators are still trying to piece together the chain of events that led to her death," said Lt. Joseph Murgo, adding that anyone with information is urged to contact the East Haven Police Department.
Neal was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.
Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Witnesses are asked to call Detective Sgt. Paul Decrosta at 203-410-0537.
