02/26/2020 11:00 PMAn angel statue has disappeared from its watchful place at the site of a fatal Route 22 crash, and the family of the late Nicole Ferrara is seeking the public's help to have it returned.
Mary Jo Semenik-Armin said she is putting out the call to as many North Branford residents as possible to help Ferrara's dad, Carl Ferrara, retrieve the missing statue. She said the loss of the angel is causing "...devastation, to say the least," for the family.
Nicole Ferrara passed away on May 6, 2014, after a collision between a truck and her vehicle at point on Route 22 near Mill Road and Neubigs Way. The North Branford native was a member of the North Branford High School Class of 2004, together with her twin sister, Kristina Ferrara.
Carl Ferrara has also reported the missing statue to North Branford Police. Anyone with information about the removal of the statue or where it can be located is encouraged to called the police department's Anonymous Tip Line at (203) 484-2201.
