02/24/2020 11:00 PMThe Board of Trustees of the Connecticut River Museum in Essex has accepted the resignation of its executive director, Gainor B. Davis, PhD.
Davis took the reins of the museum in July 2019 and has since, with the museum’s agreement, decided to pursue other opportunities.
Museum Board Chair Peter Coombs said, “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I thank Gainor for her service here and wish for her all the very best in her future endeavors.”
The museum will commence a search for Davis’s replacement immediately. In the interim, Tom Wilcox will act as executive director, assisted in the first weeks by Brenda Milkofsky.
