On Jan. 10, Valley Regional High School sent three mock trial teams to compete in the Civics First Mock Trial competition at the Middletown Superior Court. Valley students spent months preparing to argue both sides of the case as lawyers or witnesses. The Valley White team (Maeve Collins, Ava Cunningham, Maggie Dipierdomenico, Caroline Haskins, Henry McPherson, Cassidy McCormick, Katherine Morrissey, Gabby Pitruzzello, Celia Robbins, and Sophie Spaner) won both trial rounds and will compete in the state semi-finals in February.
