The full program is in place for the second annual Branford First Night coming this Friday, Jan. 3 to the Branford Town green from 6 - 7:30 p.m. The free event is sponsored by the Town of Branford, Branford Parks and Recreation and Branford375

Legendary for its high energy vocals and crowd pleasing musicianship, The Sin Sisters will be performing live from the Town Hall steps on Jan. 3, making a repeat appearance following the band's popular show at last year's inaugural Branford First Night event, said Branford Parks and Recreation Director Alex Palluzzi Jr. Sound will be provided by Dennis Nardella.

Last year, hundreds of residents filled the Branford green to enjoy the inaugural Branford First Night, which kicked off a years' worth of celebrations and events centered around the 375th anniversary of the founding of Branford.

On Jan. 3, Branford Fire Department personnel will once again man the night's iconic bonfire (which the public can view from a perimeter set up in the center of the green), while a free exhibit by an ice carving artist artist will also be underway on the green during First Night.

Another returning crowd favorite: free S'mores and hot chocolate provided by Community Baptist Church, Branford Parks & Recreation and Canoe Brook Senior Center. Word also has it that members of Branford Parks and Recreation and Canoe Brook will be bringing over dozens of delicious brownies, baked in the new Community House kitchen, to share with First Night revelers.

Two food trucks will be parked alongside the green for additional food items available for purchase.

Due to the night's activities, no parking is requested on Town Hall Drive from 5 - 8 p.m.  Palluzzi thanks event partners including the Town of Branford (First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove, Trista Milici) Public Works (Gary Zielinski, Branford Fire (Deputy Fire Marshal Rob Dobuzinsky), Branford Police Services (Deputy Chief, John Alves) and the Branford375 committe, led by Colin Sheehan and members of Branford Parks & Recreation.
