On Oct. 25, the Old Saybrook Parks & Recreation Department held its annual Halloween Party for its 6th- to 8th-grade students at the Recreation Center. There were more than 120 students in attendance participating in contests from ping-pong toss, hula-hoop, jump rope, and ring toss. This was a free event to all Teen Center members. Awards were handed out to students with the funniest (Maya Stanley), scariest (Robert McNaughton), and most original (Kylie Lake) costume. In addition, the winner of a candy guesstimate, Colin Soto, was rewarded with a jar of gum and the pumpkin guesstimate, Liam Williams, a pumpkin. Those who won scariest, most original, and funniest costume were given $10 gift cards as well.
