Peppermint Perks, a holiday savings card introduced by the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce, offers $5 off a purchase of $25 or more at 31 local businesses participating in the inaugural launch, which begins on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30 and extends through Jan. 4, 2020. The program is simple: Shop at a participating business and save $5 when you spend $25 or more. The “perks” card has perforated tabs that shoppers and diners may redeem for savings by simply tearing off the corresponding tab. The offer may be used once per person per business.

For business owner Amanda Boehm of Vintage Home Decor, participating in Peppermint Perks was a “no-brainer.”

“This encourages our friends and neighbors to shop small and shop locally,” Boehm said. “We’re excited to be participating!”

Peppermint Perks cards were included with the inserts in the Nov. 21 issue of Harbor News and six of its sister publications. Perks cards are also available at the chamber office at 1 Main St. while supplies last. For a list of participating restaurants and retailers, visit oldsaybrookchamber.com.
