Pierson Charrette Set for Nov. 2

The charrette (a public meeting) about the future use of the Pierson School is officially scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon at the Pierson School, 75 East Main Street, Clinton on Saturday, Nov. 2. Due to space limitations, those interested in attending must RSVP by calling 860- 669-9333 or send an email to mschettino@clintonct.org.

The charrette is intended as a chance for the public to weigh in on the kinds of uses they’d like to see at the property. That feedback could then be used by the Planning & Zoning Commission to revise the regulations that concern the property. The charrette is open to all residents and business owners in town. Attendees are invited to stop by the school any time during the charette, they do not need to stay for the full presentation.

The town is planning to keep the building open during the winter for use by the Parks & Recreation Department to run the basketball leagues in town.
