North Branford Police Commission Promotes Two New Sergeants

North Branford's Police Commission promoted two new sergeants, Sgt. Pasquale Marino and Sgt. Steven Redente, on Monday, Sept. 9.

Posts and photos on North Branford Police Department's (NBPD) Facebook and Instagram served to share the news with the public.

According to information shared by NBPD, "Officer Marino comes with a wealth of knowledge. In his previous career with the New Haven Police Department he held several supervisory positions including District Manager, O.I.C [Officer in Charge] in charge of the Robbery / Burglary Unit, O.I.C in charge of the Crime Scene Investigative Unit and Patrol Supervisor. He also worked for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police where he was also promoted to Patrol Sergeant. Officer Marino joined the North Branford Police Department on September 15, 2014 and most recently has been assigned to the records division."

NBPD also shared that "Officer Steven Redente began his policing career in 2008 with the Chester Police Department, where he attained the rank of Corporal in charge of administrative duties as well as a D.A.R.E. officer. Since coming to North Branford Police Department in March of 2017, he has taken on the role of FTO [Field Training Officer] and Taser Instructor."
