State Rep. Carney Earns 100 Percent Voting Record

State Representative Devin Carney (R-23) achieved a perfect record for votes cast on the floor of the state House of Representatives during the 2019 legislative session.

Carney was present and voted for all 392 votes taken on the state House floor during the 2019 session, according to voting record data released by the House Clerk’s Office. Perfect attendance is very difficult to achieve, with only about 26 percent of legislators able to do so this year.

“The people of the 23rd General Assembly District elected me to be their voice at the Capitol in Hartford, so I have always made my job as their Representative a priority,” said Carney. “Over my career, I have never missed a vote and I am proud that this year was no exception. As always, it is truly an honor serving the people of Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook.”

Carney is the leading Republican on the legislature’s Transportation Bonding Sub-Committee, and also serves on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding, Planning and Development, and Transportation Committees in the General Assembly.
