State Representative Noreen Kokoruda (R-101) joined fellow state officials at a ceremony in Hartford on July 17 to praise a $14 million federal grant that was recently awarded to the state’s Care 4 Kids program. Care 4 Kids helps lower-income families who depend on childcare to partner with child care centers in order to help parents pay less for this expense. This reduction will take effect in September.

“This is a big win for so many people,” said Rep. Kokoruda. “This money will help many lower income families in Connecticut by making childcare more affordable, and will even help parents who are looking to go to school or work in an effort to one day become more economically successful.”
