Meet Branford, North Branford Police at 'Ice Cream with a Cop' at Local Businesses Aug. 24

You've heard of "Coffee with a Cop?"? On Saturday, August 24, Branford Police and North Branford Police will team up with three local businesses to add a very cool twist -- "Ice Cream with a Cop." The end-of-summer, just-before back-to-school offering is one both departments hope will bring families and kids out to meet with their local police officers for some friendly conversation at some of the area's favorite purveyors of ice cream.

Local residents are encouraged to come out on Saturday, August 24, from 2 – 4 p.m. for "Ice Cream with a Cop" events that will take place at Ashley's Ice Cream, 1016 Main St., Branford (on the town green); Rose Orchards Farm, 33 Branford Road (Route 139) North Branford and Dairy Queen, 280 Branford Road (Route 139) in North Branford.

All three business locations will have special kids' offerings available during "Ice Cream with a Cop" hours on Aug. 24, according to information shared by Branford Police and North Branford Police departments.
