Riley Honored with Jaycees Distinguished Service Award

The Madison Jaycees is honored to announce Ed Riley was awarded the Distinguished Service Award (DSA), which is presented to an individual in the shoreline community who has demonstrated extraordinary community service efforts on the past year. The award has been presented for more than 60 years making is the oldest civic award granted in town.

Riley’s civic accomplishments include servings as a board member of Vista Life Innovations and work organizing the Tour de Shore fundraiser, organizing and running the Madison Turkey Trot fundraising, and serving on various town commissions and organizations

Also nominated were Laura Downes for her civic work serving as the interim director for the Scranton Memorial Library and Michael Perry for his work with the Madison Rotary Club.

The Madison Jaycees is an organization composed of people whose collective goal is to promote the welfare of our communities in Madison, Guilford, and surrounding towns through the completion of proactive community betterment projects. Over the past 10 years, the Jaycees has given more than $500,000 to shoreline charities and families.
