08/06/2019 12:00 AMA police and state law enforcement investigation is underway following the discovery of two deceased persons inside a Branford apartment on Monday, August 5.
According to information released by Branford Police Department late on August 5, officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:18 p.m. at 111 Florence Rd., and upon entering the apartment, "... discovered two persons deceased with signs of trauma." The apartment building is located in the Branford Hills area of town.
Police secured the scene. As of noon on August 6, police continued to report the investigation was ongoing; with Branford Police and the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad undertaking the investigation.
Police also noted that here is no known immediate threat related to the incident. Police are asking anyone with any information to call Branford Police at (203) 481-4241.
Autopsies will be performed by the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner to determine cause and manner of death, according to Branford Police.
