Big Y Gives $3,500 to Branford Arts & Cultural Alliance

The Branford Arts & Cultural Alliance, BACA, recently received a $3,500 grant from the Big Y Foundation.

This grant is in recognition of the work that non-profit BACA has been engaged in for the past five years.　 BACA's mission is to support the arts in our community through the events that we organize which feature local artists who work in various forms including painting, sculpture, photography and collage.

"We believe that art elevates the quality of life in our community, and we are grateful to Big Y for the opportunity to expand our efforts here in Branford," said BACA co-founder Frank Carrano.

The grant will support BACA's current efforts to provide art in public spaces.
