Walton and Scranton Named New Reach Volunteers of the Year

Longtime Madison residents Sher Walton and Peter Scranton were honored as volunteers of the year on June 18 during the New Reach fifth annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast. New Reach is a New Haven-based non-profit providing emergency housing for women and women with children as well as housing for families living in poverty. Walton and Scranton have each year hosted an annual souper bowl party that, for the past four years, has filled a huge box truck full of food for New Reach families as well as this year being active and important members of the New Reach Annual Celebration Auction.
