Help Wanted Moving Chester Forward

It’s a municipal election year and the town of Chester is seeking people to serve on its elected boards and commissions.

Towns like Chester have a small number of paid staff and require volunteers to serve on the many statutory and advisory commissions in order to have the town function effectively and efficiently, as well as to represent the diverse views of its residents.

Serving on boards and commissions is a good opportunity for residents in town to participate in a meaningful way. Below are the positions that are up for election this November.

To be considered to run for one of these positions, residents amy contact any of the three town committee chairs listed as contacts.

Those with questions about any position, what the job entails, or the mission of the board or commission may contact the town committee chairs, the First Selectmen’s Office, or the town’s website www.chesterct.org, where each board or commission is listed.

To serve on any of Chester’s appointed boards or commissions, contact any party chair or the First Selectman’s Office.
