05/22/2019 08:00 AMThe annual Killingworth Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 27 at 9 a.m. This year’s parade will follow a slightly different route due to construction at the Route 81 traffic circle. The parade start and staging area is at the Killingworth Elementary School (KES). The parade will proceed from KES south to the Congregational Church along Route 81. Spectators may watch anywhere along Route 81 from KES to the church. Parking is available at St. Lawrence Church, Town Hall, Congregational Church, and KES as well as the fields on Recycle Way.
The parade will culminate with a service to honor our veterans held on the lawn in front of the Congregational Church. The ceremony will include a military fly-over.
This year’s parade will feature antique vehicles, cars carrying our veterans, and fire trucks. There will be free hot dogs for all parade participants at the church following the memorial service.
