The following North Haven students were named to the Xavier High Honor Roll for the Third Quarter: Hayden Tomlin, grade 10, High Honors; Brendan Buckley, grade 12, Honors; and Carter Longley, grade 12, Honors.
Academic and Extracurricular Activities
The following North Haven students presented at the Eastern Connecticut State University annual CREATE conference on April 12: Katrishia Bell ’20, who majors in environmental earth science, presented “Measuring Coastal Change at Napatree Point, Rhode Island using Digital Photogrammetry.” Robert Bergers ’19, who majors in Computer Science. Bergers presented “Bearer of Awesome Data (BAD) Media: an application for scraping and aggregating media content from the web.”
Awards and Honors
Charles Nugent of North Haven was among the University of Scranton students inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the national honor society in political science.
David Cifarelli of North Haven, a member of the Class of 2019, received the Community Service Learning Award at the Assumption College, 35th annual Honors Convocation on April 15.
Rachel Purcell of North Haven was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Purcell is pursuing a degree in psychology at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
