Lt. Joe Murgo, public information officer for the East Haven Police Department (EHPD), said that the incident was reported to police as a home invasion with a gun, triggering their response. When they arrived, Murgo said, it turned out to be a dispute between two persons.
The individuals had left the scene by the time police arrived, but the EHPD is still investigating. No injuries have been reported.
“It’s no threat to the community and it really turned out to be nothing,” Murgo said.
