Melissa Beatty Named January Student of the Month

Melissa Beatty, daughter of Tricia and Matthew Beatty, is the Branford Rotary Club January 2019 Student of the Month (SOM). Melissa Beatty, a senior at Branford High School, was nominated by her teacher Joel Hinrichs for excellence in social studies.

Beatty is a member of the National Honor Society and is the recipient of the World Language Award for academic excellence. She is a member of the school’s chemistry and environmental clubs and is soccer team captain. Her career goal is to become a social studies teacher.

The Branford Rotary Club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at the Parthenon Diner, 374 East Main Street, Branford.
